Platform status
QuantGrid runs around the clock
This page answers the question people actually arrive with: is it down, or is something else wrong? The platform runs every day, at every hour, so when something is not working the cause is usually a broker login, the broker's own hours or the IP whitelist. Work through the checks below before you write to us.
- Platform hours
- Around the clock, every day
- Planned maintenance
- Outside NSE and BSE market hours
- Uptime commitment
- 99.9% during NSE and BSE market hours
This is a written page, not a live monitor. It does not poll the platform, so it will not tell you about an unplanned outage happening right now. Those are emailed to registered customers.
Hours
When the platform runs
QuantGrid runs around the clock, every day. Deploys and planned maintenance are scheduled outside NSE and BSE market hours.
| When | State | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| NSE and BSE market hours | Running | Covered by the uptime commitment, 99.9% uptime during NSE and BSE market hours. |
| Evenings, nights, weekends and exchange holidays | Running | The platform runs through them. Every parent account's order book is still read every three seconds, commodity orders are copied through the MCX evening session where that segment is switched on and both brokers support it, and an order placed while the exchange is closed is copied at once like any other, with these exceptions: Angel One gives such an order a new order number when it sends it to the exchange at the open, so on an Angel One parent account it is copied then, once, and not before; and a Sahi parent account's order book is read every two minutes while the market is shut, because Sahi allows each account 10,000 order-book reads a day, so on one it is copied when the book is next read, up to two minutes later. These hours are outside the uptime commitment. |
| Deploys and planned maintenance | Scheduled | Outside NSE and BSE market hours. A deploy restarts the platform for a moment, and an order resting on a parent account's order book at that moment is treated as existing rather than new: see below. |
Outside market hours: An order placed on a parent account while the exchange is closed, such as an equity after-market (AMO) order in the evening, is copied at once like any other, with these exceptions: Angel One gives such an order a new order number when it sends it to the exchange at the open, so on an Angel One parent account it is copied then, once, and not before; and a Sahi parent account's order book is read every two minutes while the market is shut, because Sahi allows each account 10,000 order-book reads a day, so on one it is copied when the book is next read, up to two minutes later. Whether the child account's broker accepts a copy made while the exchange is closed is that broker's rule: some hold it as an after-market order for the next session, and some refuse it.
An order already on the book when QuantGrid starts watching it is not copied automatically
An order already resting on a parent account's order book when QuantGrid starts watching that book is treated as existing, not new, and is not copied automatically, even if it fills later. QuantGrid starts watching a book afresh after a restart or deploy, when copying is switched back on for that parent, and at the first successful read of the book each day after the 00:30 IST daily reset, which waits for the account to be signed in and, on some brokers, for their overnight maintenance to end. If such an order is less than an hour old, QuantGrid may instead ask the account's owner to approve a copy, and nothing is placed unless they do. An order placed while QuantGrid is reading the parent is copied in the ordinary way, whatever the time of day.
The reason is worth understanding, because it is not a bug and it will not be fixed by waiting. When the engine starts watching a parent account’s order book, it records everything already on it as seen, so that a restart does not mirror a whole trading day of history into your linked accounts. An order resting on the book at that moment is history as far as the engine is concerned, and a fill on it later does not change that.
The practical rule is short: if you place an order on a parent account while QuantGrid cannot read it, check your child accounts. That means while the account is signed out at the broker, or during the broker’s own overnight maintenance. Place anything you want there yourself.
Uptime
What we commit to, and over which hours
The 99.9% uptime commitment is measured over NSE and BSE market hours because those are the hours it covers. Hours outside them are not counted, so they neither count against the figure nor qualify for a remedy.
What the commitment covers
Our own platform being available and replicating during NSE and BSE market hours. A sustained failure at our end during market hours is a service failure, and the Refund and Cancellation Policy sets out the remedy, an extension of the affected address’s paid period or an adjustment to your wallet balance, and how to claim it.
What it does not cover
Hours outside NSE and BSE market hours, your broker’s API, an exchange halt, a daily broker token you did not re-authorise, a change you made to your own configuration, and the network between you and us. Those causes are set out in full on the disclaimer.
Something not working
The platform is running and something is not working
Four things account for almost every report we receive. Work through them in this order before you write to us, and bring what you found when you do.
Check your broker session
Most broker access tokens expire daily. When yours has expired, replication on that account stops until you re-authorise from the dashboard. This is a broker rule, not a fault at our end.
Check your broker's own hours
The platform runs around the clock, but your broker's API does not always answer. Some brokers refuse API reads during their own overnight maintenance, Angel One from about 23:30 to 05:00 IST for example, and while a parent account cannot be read, its orders cannot be seen.
Check the IP whitelist
Each broker account needs its dedicated static IP registered with that broker before orders will go through. That registration is yours to make, and it is the usual reason a new account is not placing orders.
Check the broker and the exchange
A broker API outage, an exchange halt or a rejection at the broker will stop orders while our platform is running normally, and so will a child's broker refusing an order copied while the exchange is closed. The trade log records the broker response we received, verbatim.
The trade log in your dashboard records every event received, every decision taken and every broker response, so it usually answers the question before we do. How the mechanism works end to end is on how it works, and what is delivered when you pay is on the service delivery policy.
Incidents and support
How you hear about an outage, and how you reach us
An unplanned outage during market hours is emailed to registered customers. We use email rather than a status widget because email reaches you where you already are, and because a light on a page nobody has open is not a notification.
Reach a person
- Support
- support@quantgrid.in
- Support hours
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM IST
- Phone
- Call us
- Grievance Officer
- Devansh Dalmia, grievance@quantgrid.in
Write to support with the broker account concerned, the approximate time, and the symbol and order if there is one. We match it against the audit trail, which is the same record you can read and export yourself, and we tell you what it shows even when the answer is that we were at fault.
Support runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM IST, so a message sent on a Saturday is answered on Monday. Those are the hours a person answers, not the hours the platform runs. Anything formal, including a complaint about the service or a data request, goes to the Grievance Officer, who acknowledges within 48 hours and resolves within 15 days, as the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 require of us.
If the outage cost you part of a paid period, the money side is in the Refund and Cancellation Policy, which sets out the remedy for a service failure attributable to us, an extension of the affected address’s paid period or an adjustment to your wallet balance, and tells you how long you have to raise it. For anything else, use the contact form.
