Angel One · SmartAPI
Angel One copy trading, built on SmartAPI
Connect your Angel One accounts through SmartAPI, choose which one is the parent, and its orders are mirrored into every linked account with your own multiplier applied to each.
Integration
How QuantGrid connects to Angel One
QuantGrid integrates with Angel One SmartAPI for authentication, order streaming and order placement. Parent events are normalised into the same internal format as every other broker, which is what lets you run a Zerodha parent with an Angel One child, or any other combination.
QuantGrid authenticates with Angel One SmartAPI and streams order updates for the parent account. Every event is normalised into the same internal order format used for every other supported broker before the replication engine sees it.
That normalisation is what makes cross-broker work: the engine reacts to an order, not to an Angel One order. REST order-book polling covers any gap in the stream, and duplicate protection stops a reconnect from placing the same child order twice.
- SmartAPI authentication with TOTP, held for the trading session
- Equity and F&O on NSE, BSE, NFO and BFO
- Commodity and currency replication is Zerodha only for now, and is switched on per account rather than by default.
- Cross-broker replication: an Angel One account can be a parent or a child
- Square-off and cancel work identically to the other supported brokers

Connect Angel One in three steps
Setup is a one-time job and usually takes a few minutes. Nothing is replicated until you explicitly link a parent to a child and save a multiplier.
- 01
Enable SmartAPI access
Generate an API key from the Angel One SmartAPI portal and note your client code. Keep the TOTP secret from the same setup step.
- 02
Connect the account in QuantGrid
Enter the API key and client code. QuantGrid establishes the SmartAPI session and confirms it can read the order book before you link anything.
- 03
Link accounts and set your rules
Pick your parent, add child accounts, and set a copy factor, lot size and max quantity per account. The next order the parent places is the first one replicated.
Want the full order path first? Read how it works, or book a free demo and we will do the first link with you on the call.
Authorisation
Sessions, tokens and revoking access on Angel One
Broker sessions are governed by the broker, not by QuantGrid. Here is exactly how that behaves so nothing surprises you at 9:15 in the morning.
SmartAPI login uses TOTP
Angel One authenticates API sessions with your client code and a time-based one-time code. QuantGrid establishes the session and holds it for the trading day, so you are not re-entering codes between orders.
Sessions end with the trading day
When the session lapses, QuantGrid tells you and stops rather than guessing. Reconnecting restores the same relationships, multipliers and limits you already configured.
You control access from your Angel One account
API access is enabled and disabled from your own Angel One account. Turn it off and QuantGrid can neither read your order book nor place an order, immediately.
One static IP, reserved to your account
Your API traffic leaves from a dedicated static IP address that is never shared with another customer. Where a broker lets you restrict API access to a whitelisted address, you have one stable address to whitelist, and your activity is never mixed with anyone else's. See the security practices.
Pairing
Running Angel One alongside the other live brokers
An Angel One account works as a parent or as a child, with no difference in behaviour. Angel One to Angel One is a straight mirror. Angel One as the parent with FYERS children translates product types and symbol formats automatically, and the same applies in reverse.
Angel One as parent
Drive children at any live broker
Orders placed in your Angel One parent account replicate into child accounts at Angel One, Zerodha, FYERS, Groww, Motilal Oswal, Upstox, Nuvama Wealth, ICICI Direct, Dhan, Kotak, Tradejini and IIFL, each with its own copy factor, lot size and max-quantity cap.
Angel One as child
Follow a parent at another broker
A Angel One account can equally be the follower. A parent at Zerodha or FYERS or Groww or Motilal Oswal or Upstox or Nuvama Wealth or ICICI Direct or Dhan or Kotak or Tradejini or IIFL drives it, with symbol and product-type translation applied automatically on every order.
See the full parent and child matrix for every supported combination.
Pricing
What Angel One replication costs
One price per broker account you connect: its dedicated static IP, with every feature included. Angel One needs IPv4, for the reason below. There is no platform fee, no per-child software surcharge and no share of anything you trade.
Dedicated static IPv4
Every feature included₹800per 30 days + 18% GST
per broker account
What your account is issued where the broker cannot take IPv6.
The cheaper IPv6 address is not offered for Angel One, because it would not work. Orders reach Angel One at apiconnect.angelone.in, which published no IPv6 (AAAA) record when we last checked it on 22 August 2026. An IPv6-only address cannot open a connection to an IPv4-only host, so every order would fail. Angel One accounts need the IPv4 address above. See the dated reading for every broker.
