Acceptable Use Policy
What a QuantGrid Static IP address and its proxy login may be used for, what they may never be used for, the records we keep, and what happens when this policy is broken. It forms part of clause 19 of our Terms of Service.

- quantgrid.in and the QuantGrid platform
In short: an address is yours alone, for your own brokers' trading, account and sign-in traffic. Do not share or sell its login, and keep to your broker's and the exchange's rules for it. We keep connection records, never their content.
1. Who this applies to
This policy applies to every QuantGrid Static IP address and proxy login, and to anyone who uses one. It forms part of clause 19 of our Terms of Service, and a breach of it is a breach of the Terms. Tristack Technologies LLP ("we") provides QuantGrid Static IP under the QuantGrid brand.
2. One client, or one family, per address
Each address is reserved to one customer and is never shared with another. Your broker and the exchange allow a static IP address to be registered for one client at a time, or for one family where your broker accepts the family's declaration. You may register an address only for your own broker accounts, or your family's where your broker allows it and you have made the declaration it asks for. Up to 3 of your brokers may use one address. You must not register an address for anyone else's account (other than your family's, as above), or let anyone else register it.
3. Your login is yours alone
Your proxy username and password are for your own software. You must not share, sell, rent, sublicense or publish them, resell access to an address, or run a service for anyone else through it. Keep them as you keep your broker API secret. If you think someone else has them, generate a new password from your dashboard straight away: every connection made with the old one ends. We may generate a new password ourselves if we see yours exposed, and we tell you when we do.
4. Your broker traffic only
An address carries your software's connections to the trading, account and sign-in hosts of the brokers on it, and to the address check at ip.quantgrid.in, and nothing else: the proxy refuses any other destination. Market-data streams should connect to your broker directly. You must not use an address to browse the web, send email, collect data from websites, or reach any service that is not your broker's API.
5. What you must never do
Through an address or its login, you must not, and must not let anyone else:
- attack, probe, scan or test the security of a broker, an exchange, our systems or anyone else, or try to get around the proxy's checks or limits;
- send traffic meant to overload a broker's API or an exchange gateway, or to get around a broker's or an exchange's rate limits, order limits or other controls;
- place orders that manipulate the market or break the rules of SEBI, an exchange or your broker, including spoofing, layering, circular trading and front-running;
- reach an account you are not entitled to operate, or pretend to be someone else;
- carry malware, spam or unlawful content, or break any law.
6. Fair use and limits
Each address may move 200 MB a day, counted by the day in Indian Standard Time. After that, until midnight Indian Standard Time, no connection is refused, but each one closes once it has moved another 256 KB, and your software can open a new one. Each address may hold up to 16 connections at once and open up to 120 a minute, and a connection left idle for 120 seconds is closed. Repeated failed sign-ins from one network address block that network address from the proxy for a time. These limits keep the service steady for every customer, and we may change them under section 11.
7. The records we keep
The proxy records each connection's metadata, never its content, which is encrypted between your software and your broker: the network address your software connects from, the broker host it reaches, the static IP it leaves from, when it opened, how long it lasted and why it closed, how many bytes passed, how long it took to set up and how quickly the broker answered, and each connection it refuses after reading its proxy login, with the reason and the IP address the attempt came from; a connection refused before that, including every one from an address blocked after repeated failed sign-ins, is only counted. We keep the detailed record of each connection for 7 days and the proxy's connection log for 180 days. We keep your subscriber records (your purchases, payments, your addresses and the brokers they served, the WhatsApp number you proved with a code before each purchase and when you proved it, the name and email address on your account, and the mobile number and billing address in your billing details) for 5 years after your last address ends, as the CERT-In directions of 28 April 2022 require. The Privacy Policy sets out the rest.
8. Lawful requests
We cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement, regulators and the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), including requests for the records in section 7, and we report incidents to CERT-In where the law requires. We disclose only what a request covers and, unless we are legally barred, we tell you.
9. Suspension for breach
If we reasonably believe an address or its login is used in breach of this policy, we may suspend it: at once and without notice where the breach is serious or continuing, and with notice otherwise. A suspended address refuses connections but stays reserved for you while we look into it, as long as it is paid for. A breach of this policy is a breach of clause 5.4 of the Terms for clauses 13.2 and 13.3, so for a serious or repeated breach we may also end the subscription and release its addresses under clause 19.9. Nothing paid for a period is refunded because of a suspension or a termination for breach. A suspension does not touch any order or position at your broker.
10. Reporting misuse
Report misuse of a QuantGrid address to support@quantgrid.in or, for anything formal, to our Grievance Officer at grievance@quantgrid.in.
11. Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy. The version in force is the one on this page, and the date at the top is the date it took effect. Before a change that restricts what you may do takes effect, we email every customer who holds an address. This version is effective 16 October 2026.
